Our commencement ceremony will be held on
Friday June 27th, 2025 at The EY Centre.
Official invitations were shared with parents/guardians on May 23rd.

Name Pronunciation Clarification for Graduates
To ensure every graduate's name is pronounced correctly during the upcoming commencement ceremony, Mr. Box and Ms. Van Zijl will be available in Room 332 during lunch hour on the following dates:
- Monday, June 9th
- Wednesday, June 11th
- Thursday, June 12th
This is an optional drop-in session for any student who wishes to clarify the pronunciation of their name. It is not mandatory, but it's a great opportunity to ensure your name is announced just right on your special day.

Grad Breakfast & Grad Package Distribution
Grade 12s are invited to pick up their packages, grab a breakfast treat, socialize with classmates & JMSS staff in front of the school (Malvern entrance)
More details will be posted in the Grad Google Classroom (as mentioned at the Grad Assembly today) regarding the following topics:
- Valedictorian Applications (can be picked up in the main office & are due on May 30th at 12:00pm)
- Commencement Info (official invitations sent to parents/guardians through Messenger on Friday May 23rd)
- Extra Ticket Request Form (sent to parents/guardians through Messenger on Friday May 23rd with official invitation)
- Community Service Hours (40 hours needed to fulfill graduation requirements - please see Ms. Lester in Student Services to pick up paper forms which need to be submitted)
- Grad Gown Package distribution will take place on Wednesday June 11th as part of the Grad Breakfast (7:30am - 8:30am)
- JMSS Athletic Letter Applications (forms can be found in any Grade 12 google classroom - due on May 30th to Ms. Talbot in the Phys Ed office)
- Diploma package pickup will begin on Thursday July 3rd in Student Services (9:00am - 2:00pm)
- Chromebook returns will take place during exam week in the 2nd floor foyer, outside Student Services
An assembly will take place on Thursday May 22nd for all Grade 12 students.
This assembly will cover details regarding completion of volunteer hours, commencement ceremony details, grad gown package distribution instructions, Valedictorian applications & voting process, diplomas package pick up, etc.
Grade 12 students will be called out of class at approximately 11am.
Details of the assembly will be posted in the grad google classroom by the end of the week.
A reminder to grads to keep checking the grad google classroom to complete any necessary forms & keep up to date on necessary details for commencement, grad requirements & additional information pertaining to your Grade 12 year!
IF YOU TOOK GRAD PHOTOS AT JMSS OR IN THE STUDIO:
Please pass by Ms. Bondio's desk in the main office to confirm the correct spelling of your name & your grad photo. Deadline for this task to be completed is: Wednesday April 23rd.
Your Graduation Gown Package is now available on School Cash Online.
Payment is due on Monday March 31st.

Edge Imaging will be holding a pop-up studio for Grad photos on Friday April 4th & Saturday April 5th at their studio (345 Richmond Road). Any graduates having their photos taken at the popup studio will be included in the JMSS Composite for Class of 2025.

A reminder to Graduating students - Cap & Gown Package information will be shared soon to all grads and/or their parent/guardians via your School Cash Online Account. If you do not have an account, please use the instructions above to complete the process.
As discussed at the Grade 12 Grad Assembly, you will receive an invitation to join a Google Classroom. This will be the primary platform for posting up-to-date information, including forms, deadlines, and required tasks. Please make sure your notifications for this Google Classroom are enabled to stay informed.
If you scheduled a Grad Photo Retake for Thursday, February 13th, please note that it has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 25th. Your appointment time will remain the same.
Please check the email you used to register for your appointment for further details. You should have received an email from Edge Imaging with more information.
