osslt literacy testing

The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) measures whether students are meeting the minimum standard for literacy across all subjects up to the end of Grade 9. Successful completion of the literacy test is one of the requirements to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. All students across the province write this test on the same date, usually in late March each year.

This year's OSSLT will take place on Wednesday March 27th during the morning periods.

During the weeks leading up to the test students will be given instructional preparation for the the test. Booklets will be handed out to students taking the test and teachers will guide them through the process.

Answers and feedback can be provided by your student's individual teachers.

Copies of the booklets are available for download below. Please select the booklet according to the period in which your student is taking the prep.
