John McCrae Secondary School offers a variety of courses to students throughout the academic year.
To graduate, all students must successfully complete the following:
• 30 Credits, including 18 Compulsory and 12 Elective credits **Note: For students entering Grade 9 in Fall 2024, it will be 19 Compulsory and 11 Elective Credits
• 40 hours of volunteer Community Service
• Successfully complete the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test
• Completion of 2 mandatory eLearning courses

We encourage students to be mindful when selecting courses. Once courses are submitted, we cannot guarantee any course changes, therefore we ask students to please select carefully. Seen below is further information regarding course selection.
