To the Parent (s) or Guardian(s) of Students attending John McRae HS
Dear Parent or Guardian:
Due to an ongoing driver shortage this current school year, the majority of students attending John McRae HS were reassigned to public transit. This coming school year and moving forward, all students residing in the UTA and attending John McRae HS will be transitioning to OC Transpo. Their counterparts attending other schools in the OCDSB have been doing so for a number of years with great success.
The transitioning went very well for the students that were assigned to OC for 21-22 residing in the Half Moon Bay area. OC Transpo will continue to work with OSTA to prepare routes to accommodate the number of students expected to make the transition.

To make better use of transportation services, OSTA is asking all parents and guardians of OCDSB and OCSB eligible students to confirm their intentions for transportation services for 2022-2023.You can view this information as well on OSTA’s website.
